Each year, the DC chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society embarks on their Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign. This year I was nominated to join the fight as a 2022 Man of the Year candidate. I accepted the nomination with one purpose, to fight for those who are fighting for their lives from underrepresented backgrounds.

When I was a young seven year old boy, I watched paramedics carry my grandfather from his New York apartment to the hospital as my grandmother, my father and I looked on in anguish. My grandfather died shortly after that sad day from Leukemia. I was a devastated child at that time and have thought about that last memory of my grandfather often.

In recent years, through support from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and people like you, blood cancer advancements have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rates for some blood cancers.

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign for Man of the Year. With your support, we can fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. With your donation, LLS can continue funding critical research and provide outstanding patient services. Join us in the battle against blood cancers by donating and sharing our
story. Every dollar is a step towards a cure.

Donations can be made online to my direct LLS fundraising page:
